Wilkins Mobile Builders is distinct in the industry because of the quality we provide. Led by a team of seasoned industry executives, Wilkins sets the bar for superior products, corporate integrity and customer satisfaction, a fact backed by the number of clients who repeatedly use our services and who refer others. The quality of our modular buildings is reflected in the added details that you can't always see. One such detail is the addition of a protective plate over all wiring that passes through wall studs. The protective plate ensures the wire is not damaged when exterior finishes are applied to the building. To learn more about our modular buildings, visit our website or click here.

April Showers Bring More Than May Flowers
Everyone has heard the expression "April showers bring May flowers", but they bring construction delays also. Several storms over the southeastern United Sates left behind acres of standing water in 2009. With traditional construction, severe weather can expose materials to the elements effecting the quality of the building components and result in significant delays in construction. One of the benefits of modular construction is construction occurs in a controlled environment of the manufacturing facility. Spring & Summer Increase Demand for Modular Structures
As summer approaches, we also see an increase in request for modular buildings in campgrounds. Our commercial modular buildings are often used for the common areas within the campground and recreational parks. These free standing buildings allow for rapid expansion of the existing facilities. In the past, our modular buildings have been used for :
- Shower & Restroom Trailers
- Campground General Stores
- Park and Recreational Offices
- Guard Stations
- Welcome Centers
Be sure you're ready for Spring and Summer visitors by contact our in-house design team today. To see photos of some of our modular building projects, visit our website or click here.

Modular Building Easier to Remodel and Reuse
Modular construction is a build-process that allows an entire structure to be built and substantially completed away from the project site in the controlled environment of a manufacturing plant location. It is created in large three-dimensional sub-assemblies, (also referred to as modules) that are moved onto the project site where they are set on foundations, and structurally, mechanically, electrically and architecturally connected to form a complete, permanent building.
It is important to understand this method of off-site construction in order to grasp the relative ease with which a building can be completely reused (95 – 100%) by simply reversing the process through which it was installed at the site. The building will virtually come apart in the same sub-assemblies that created it. The amount of disposed material or salvage is negligible compared to a conventionally built structure that is deconstructed on a site.
Implementing this methodology means a building does not have to be abandoned or demolished while yet another is newly constructed elsewhere. Modular buildings can help your business grow more cost effectively with fast remodeling. You'll also find modular buildings offer the ability to expand existing structures quickly providing new space for the growth of your business.
